is so much more than yesterday

Or just love and forget
all of last night's sorrow

Today can be different
or just another whistle, a name
given to a former ride
Today can be wild
Today can be a lie
YOU GET TO CHOOSE (you really really do)
The kind of rules you want to live by.

Be nice, they said, tomorrow is forgiving, they said
There's always room for a smile
Little did they know, today was a pretty bad day
and smiling about it sometimes makes it 10x worse than it's been in a while
