The Weekend Syndrome
A typical week starts on Monday morning with office work and suddenly you realise that you have a lot of things pending to be done and you convince yourself that "I will do it over the weekend". This list piles up and finally when the weekend arrives we would have forgotten about it and when we realise the weekend would have just flown away in a jiffy.
Come to think of it, if you sit and analyse what most of the people would be doing on a weekend, you would hear stories of people going out to party, watching movies, meeting friends, doctor checkups, professional meet ups, visiting temples for little spirituality, and some of them sleeping and sitting on the sofa like a couch potato and not doing anything else.
Everyone has got their own ways of relaxing or de-stressing, but again on a Monday morning you would hear stories of cribbing that weekend just flew away and i had planned so much but did not do anything.
De-stressing Or relaxing shall always have an element of spending time all by yourself, not interacting with anyone for a brief period of time and reflecting the week that went by and planning for the week ahead.
This might sound stupid or foolish but then having a "ME" time is very essential and important in today's always glued to the Mobile Phone World. An hour of reflection over the weekend should definitely make a good difference in your coming week. Make time for all activities and also slow down on one day of the weekend. If every weekend we are running around then there is no meaning of a holiday or a weekend. It's a break from the routine, make it worthwhile.
Happy Weekend😊😊
