The Best Time to Journal is at the End of Your Day
Are you new to journaling?
You need to be journaling at night.
Before you're off to bed, you need an opportunity to put thought into your day.
Your experiences
Words you said
Actions you took
What made you happy, or what made you mad.
You will want to solve the problems that you face tomorrow.
Or maybe you need to reflect on what you would do differently.
Maybe you want to note some of the details of your day.
It’s not necessary to address all of these.
I like to identify my sources of happiness during the day. I like to end the day with a smile.
Then I note highlights I want to remember and thoughts about how to approach tomorrow. I write three to ten sentences. It takes no more than ten minutes.
A few sentences to reflect on your day gives you clarity. It settles your mind for a good night’s sleep.
Journaling at night is the deep breath needed to release the day's tensions.
