RIP my pet
After 8 years living with me, my rabbit died this morning. He was not eating properly for days. I gave him his medicines right after I wake up, worried about his health, but he couldn't even keep himself standing. So I tried to force feed him with a seringue. After the first shot of the Critical Care, the mix of herbs mixed in water recommended by the veterinarian to help him to regain the appetite, he apparently choked and died just in front of my eyes.
I stayed there, shocked and in tears, seeing the deadly opacity of his eyes. While caressing him for the last time, I could feel the growing rigidity of the death in his lambs. That's it: my partner, my companion, my beloved Benjamin have definitely left. I cried, cried and cried, the only thing to do.
I took a very last picture of him. I noted his beautiful hears and tail, the perfection of his fur, so smooth. There's a few things in my live that I loved much, my tender, sweet and incredibly funny rabbit.
He brought joy to my live, taught me how to care about another living been, and changed completely the energy of my house, filling it, creating the ambience of a real house, and making it, curiously, more human.
I was happy to have been the father of Benjamin because he made me happy. I really would like to have saved him this morning and keept it a little longer, even knowing that the end was near.
I love you Benjamin, and I always will love you, my dearest friend.
