My Decision To Give Up Coffee Had 3 Surprising Benefits
I didn’t need the caffeine.
Drinking one cup of coffee in the morning silently made my blood pressure rise six to ten points. I already take blood pressure medication.
It was in my best interest to give up caffeine. Coffee was my only source.
After three months, I’ve noticed three other benefits.
I don’t need caffeine to wake up. I sleep better. Being I’m well-rested, I don’t need a morning pick-me-up.
Coffee is acidic. I didn’t realize one cup bothered my digestion all day. Making a small tweak, like no more coffee, has opened my diet to other foods I used to avoid.
I only drank coffee loaded… loaded with sugar and flavored syrups. Cutting our coffee means I’ve cut back on sugar. Sugar is not my weakness of choice. My coffee was the main source of my sugar intake.
Giving up one and a half cups of coffee each day did all this.
I used to look forward to that cup of coffee each morning. Now I don't even think about it.
I don't miss coffee, and I never felt better.
