Love: the only thing you own
Forever can be broken down to a bunch of nows but can there be multiple nows? No matter how much you conquer you will always be beaten by the last second, the last mile and eventually the last breath. Which begs the question of what you really own. 20 minutes into meditation and i cannot tell whether the arms i’d rested on my thighs still exist or not. The same happens for most of the body parts once the numbness starts to take over. So certainly I dont own my physical shape. I think when I meditate so my thoguths must be mine. Thoughts come to my mind but I dont own them ,they are not mine much like the cars that drive on the highway does not belong to the road. --this car and thought part is from Osho but i’ve come to agree more and more with it--. What belongs to me is the only thing that I can give. I remember reading in brief history of time that to create a mountain you must dig a hole. There cannot be additional mass out of nowhere. The only exception i can think of is love. Its it the only thing that you can generate out of thin air in almost infinite quantity. Love and compassion also seems to be the thing that you can call your own but the only way it can exist is in the giving of it. So the paradox continues. Anger can be a great motivator but its energy depleting in the long term but things that are done with love are almost seen effortless. Loving people around you comprises of expecting nothing while going all in. The act of spreading love around you can be the greatest act of humanity you can do
