I'm unconvinced astrological signs mean anything, but I think the time of year that you're born does have an impact on your life.
Children born around holidays get different levels of attention than kids born nowhere near holidays. They could get less because everyone is paying attention to the holiday, maybe more if their family traditionally has a gathering. I imagine kids born in the middle of a dry holiday zone have people around them that are looking for an excuse to celebrate anything.

Your school experience is also impacted by the year you were born. The difference between an elder 8th grader and a younger 9th grader can sometimes only be a few weeks.
You compete in gym with kids from your grade; you might be the king of a gym class, or the meekest one. Sometimes it's a function of fitness or diet, but other times it's a function of puberty. Going through that in different grades probably has some kind of impact.
Timing must have some sort of impact on the experiences of your young life which inevitably has an impact on your adult life.
Astronomical signs might mean something, but the stars are not what is shaping you.
