Intention, Mindfulness, and Goals Require Journaling
Today, it’s easier than ever to live the life you want.
It doesn’t take long scrolling social media to see words like intention, mindfulness, and goals.
The question is, do you know what you want?
“Nothing will bring you peace except yourself.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
You must know yourself to know what you want. With that knowledge, you will be mindful and intentional in your thoughts and actions. Then you can set goals.
Two years before I retired, I didn't know what I wanted to do with all my time. I picked writing and started to explore.
We are all guilty of ignoring good advice at some time in our life. For years, I ignored starting the habit of writing gratitude. My journey in writing taught me I could write every day. What should I write about? I had no goal in mind.
I decided to go back to the advice so many had given me. Write gratitude.
Writing gratitude cracked open the door and gave me a peek at what I wanted. Free journaling blew the door off for me to see the path. My journal was the place for conversations with myself.
To know where you want to go, you need to know yourself. Intention, mindfulness, and goals will follow.
Journal to learn who you are, define your dreams, and explore your possibilities.
