How to Develop a Journaling Habit Despite the Good Times
Journaling daily is required to build a habit.
I’ve heard others say:
I don’t have anything to journal about.
My day was great, what do I write now?
There are no set rules for what you should write or how much you should write.
You'll have more to write if you use a balanced approach.
I write the same words I would tell my closest confidant. Those words include the negative and the positive about any subject.
No matter how mundane the event of the day, the words are worth recording.
Many times the positive in your life gets ignored.
When you hear why you should have a journaling habit, the most common reason is to express your emotions and work through a problem.
This implies that the only time to journal is during difficult times.
You need to balance your journaling with both negative and positive.
If you’ve had a great day, write about it.
Happiness and gratitude don’t just come from working through your difficulties. They come from learning what makes you happy and what you are grateful for.
A simple daily journal entry, negative or positive, will help your habit grow.
