forcing my friend to read
is that bad?
i want him to read marie calloway
bc i think he could really relate and really love it and it'll convince him to live the life that i want for him [i see him as the robert to my patti smith, the edie sedgwick to my andy warhol, and the andy warhol to my edie sedgwick]
whenever i'm around him or recall our days together i feel so conceited [and i like that]
and if he likes that first read then next he needs to read "just kids" by patti smith; and he said he wants to read andy warhol and i'm like "PERFECT! read 'the philosophy of andy warhol from a to b'"
i just want him to become an extension of me so that he can live the life that i tell him to live
"do you know how lucky you are to have someone who tells you how to live your life?"
"really lucky"
but he genuinely has the soul of an artist and is wasting it on "shark tank"
he used to carry around a little notebook and would jot down the funny things that people said and i started to do the same to copy him
i told him he's meant for television and film. he needs to write scripts which is why he needs to read
[but maybe this is not true? my director/writer friend does not read]
he says he imagines me on billboards
he said he was flattered the way that i'd introduce him to people, because we're "cool" and by "cool" he meant "beautiful" -- he said he'd never really been part of that "beautiful people" world before
you see? i get conceited around him. i think i'm a demigod now.
