everyone's made of their dad's orgasm
and it pains me not to know whose orgasm i came from.
Everybody makes babies about moms. But everybody’s born from their dad’s orgasm.
It’s almost like as a society we were meant to make numerical decisions. If you ask one person to guess the number of jelly beans in the jar, they will likely get it wrong. But if you ask 100 people and average that number, it will be pretty close to the real number. And the more people you ask, the more accurate it becomes. It’s almost like we were meant to put our minds together to guess at a number. But when it comes to categorical decisions like yes or no, should we or should we not, how do we make an average?
The authors I’ve been liking all like these books:
Pure colour (anything by her really ; sheila heti)
Chess story
Seemingly Anything by Nietzsche
Maybe showing that you have a taste is indicative that you have time to chill and enjoy life
After all, all you have to do to develop taste is to sit around and discover.
And if you like really obscure shit that isn’t immediately enjoyable to people, it means that you’ve explored enough that everything is sort of familiar enough to you that also this obscure stuff is familiar to you. (That psychology law about enjoying things with repeated exposure)
It shows you’ve had repeated exposure to a broad spectrum of stuff which means that you have the time for it.
Once again it shows a certain social economic status — that you’d have the time to chill like that
Doing unimportant things.
Hence the genres I like to read: very very unimportant. I don’t like books that deal with important issues cuz I can’t relate. sunglasses on
