i've been talking to a newish friend a lot lately and i am getting oversaturated with him!

he is great in some ways; tenacity of spirit, willingness to try, writes great music
but my god
i know other people with spirit, willingness and talent
and who ALSO have verbal intelligence and philosophical intelligence and cognitive empathy
and sense of humor
and the ability to enjoy life
and sex appeal (he's beautiful)
the problem is i've been spoiled at a young age
i've met a god and he so impressed me that the bar is all the way up in the sky

i am happy when i see myself gaining skills he casually (but deliberately) displayed in front of me
