Sunday Is Biryani Day
Every Sunday my family used to go to church, have breakfast outside, come home and mom used to make chicken biryani, which used to taste delicious. After that meal, my brother and I would pour ourselves a glass of cold drink(Thumbs up, mostly. If you don't like thumbs up, we are not friends.) and enjoy while watching movies until 4pm. The taste of biryani and the fizz of cold drink would feel so good inside, I can't even explain.
Ever since the pandemic, we never had such days again. I mean biryani were prepared but the whole scene of going out together to church, coming back and drinking the cold drink, because it could give us cold.
Also, the innocence of Sunday's while being a kid is now just a mere memory. If only we could know before. I don't have any regrets of not enjoying Sundays. I enjoyed a lot, but I was in Hostels right from 11th standard and sometimes I do miss those days.
If it weren't for the pandemic, I would have not have the chance to enjoy Sunday's or any other day because, I would have moved to different city and it would have been the same school memories in my head. Now, I have these two years of memory packets added.
I can't say it was all good memories but in the future these will be one of the fondest.
