wading beyond the visible
Most of the work I am most excited to accomplish feels nebulous in nature. Maybe it's partially my level of current understanding (true expertise is abstraction/compression of complex ideas into mental models, frameworks, puns, analogies and stories), but living in the unknown is one of my most favorite feelings.
In the spirit of neuroplasticity and cultivating an ever learning spirit, it feels like a useful skill to challenge the endless number of assumptions we place on the world around us in an attempt to understand it.
I hear similar sentiments when people speak about religion, psychedelics, meditation, and whatever the daily flavor of "self-development" comes in.
The more our lives become digitally complex, the more we seek coping mechanisms that force us into a state of reflection. of quiet observation, of presence.
web3 has always been a convenient excuse to think differently (to me). A "clean break" with which to turn everything else inside out. To take things apart and dissect, question, analyze, and repackage.
But that's just the beginning. What comes next is the fun part - assembling a new world that looks unrecognizable primarily using the same parts. In this sense, we are always early.
