ahh today an image created sparked a memory of an architectural concept about modernity (Weak and Diffuse modernity by Andrea Branzi). it theorized an idea for urban planning by taking 'weak' forms such as incomplete design and elasticity, then applied them to how a city can be formed. an ambitious though would be to…
ahh "an artwork is a pure idea attached to an existing rationale. an artwork for the art world is any idea attached to an invoice." quote by Virgil Abloh. the above quote resonates with me recently because the conversation around NFT art can easily fit into the category of any idea attached to an invoice. yet there…
AHH i admire creators who strive to break the box they are placed in by society. a few will break outside of that it, and when they do it is worth more to society. they are the ones who change society for the better. so why does society put creators inside of a box? i imagine limitless creation. forever expanding.…
Ahhh! a bold idea can spark conversation between those who never spoke before. it's weight is heavy before the conversation existed. it becomes lighter as the idea is shared in conversations with others...
a digital world may enable us to have a continuous performance that has no defined start or finish. it exists like a dream. each person would experience a different beginning as they enter. this threshold is your start yet we can extrude this threshold to how you enter the performance space. a loading screen? a social…
There's a sickening feeling of being surrounded by darkness. What feels like an everlasting doom consuming your peripherals. You're trapped, maybe not physically, but mentally, or both. If, one stands in place, that place becomes your home. A home that echoes into the voids of your mind driving you insane. The purpose…
ahh some ideas initially spark a lot of enthusiasm. now that same idea does not interest me, it lacks substance. the hard question to answer is do i continue to peruse the idea by giving it more substance? only if the idea to better it sparks stronger enthusiasm than the original idea. this would become a totally…
Ahhh observe from behind. an alternate message is revealed. is this a message you want to share? if not iterate on the original until both messages are what you want to share because the alternate view from others is just as valid as your own...
ahhhhhh a reoccurring shape i use in creation is a sphere. why do i use it? the reason derives from a quote by Andrea Branzi "the distance between the natural world and artificial world no longer exists today, because the latter has become second nature". this quote resonates with me, i exists both naturally and…
Ahhh the moment as a cup falls to spill out water lets us predict the near future. the same can be applied to any idea strong enough to take action. the puddle may result in something special...
i have been continuing a visual style for over a year now, developing it further with each iteration. the world of narcissus; a delicate focus around oneself and their desires. what defines this world? the context to the world is irrelevant so it is not present in many creations. the water expanding to the horizon…
Ahhh my moment of peak conscious occurs frequently before my eyes fall asleep. at that moment there is a choice; do i record that moment/idea or loose it...
ahhh do we experience one emotion at a time? can you remember a singular moment of one emotion? i have bee trying to dig deep in my memories for a singular moment, so far no moment presents itself. in contradiction; the emotions we experience may all be defined as a excitement...
ahhh quickly sketching out ideas makes me think of how 'real' that idea can become. if the sketch is too perfect to begin with, then that idea is generally not special enough. it is the ideas which start out murky that have the most potential, because they tend to be in a realm where they do not exist yet.
For a long time now I have had an idea in my mind that seemed almost impossible. Poetic in execution and artistic value, one where an echo may only speak the last thing it hears. It's a satisfying feeling to find the right person, now making the idea more possible. The future looks bright for this idea to flourish...
ahh imagine a space to experience music that is not physical. the whole are becomes a visual representation of the music playing. vivid colours and shapes form in response to the music. smooth surfaces for a love song, a sharp point for a heartbreak, or even drops dripping to the floor in a puddle over a loss. this…
