Someone at "Tootsie Roll Industries" viewed your profile
I reflected on my Linkedin activity last week on the platform. The immediate response of my friends and their network within the first hour of posting felt good. People found the post amusing! So I of course HAD to post the same jab on twitter, and share a screenshot of the original post on my Instagram story.
What happened?
An anonymous employee of candy-giant Tootsie Roll Industries viewed my Linkedin profile. The industrial candy company owns a variety of seemingly "old school" candies like Cella's Cherries, Sugar Daddies, Andes Mints, and ofc Tootsie Rolls and Pops.
The Royal We — me, myself, and I — like the vanilla tootsie rolls in the blue-wrappers. I shared this fact ending with a playful threat: "...you know what to do."
Roughly 2500 accounts across the three platforms glanced my post for a few seconds. I reveled in an excuse to be distracted by my phone during the workday. And, several friends confided in me that they too like the blonde candy chews.
Am I...an influencer now? No.
I have not consumed the candy that likely arrives only in a variety pack. Halloween was two days ago. If you're reading this, I like a variety of sweets. Please note, I'm American so my taste buds refuse licorice.
Writing here today to test this nichelss platform. Beating the same drum: a silly Linkedin post I wrote with zero thought because I thought was funny.
At this moment, its unclear what I may write about. I moved back home with my parents to afford many travels. Maybe y'all will know about my adventures soon.
Bests,
MSue.
