sharing my mom's biryani recipe - part 1
I am quite sure that it's not an uncommon thing for any desi/middle eastern child to declare the following statement - My mom's biryani is the best in the whole wide world! And I'm no such exception to this. I do believe my mom's biryani is the best and every other person who has tried it so far has claimed the same. I thought every biryani all around the world almost tasted the same, until I realised that it doesn't. In the last 5 years I've tried biryanis in every possible place (the only non-vegeterian item I'd prefer to order) and was kind of disappointed with almost all. I have tried preparing a few times by myself and although it was quite decent, it didn't have my mom's glory.
Now that I'm staying with her full time, it's a perfect opportunity to learn the art of biryani making. It's an art because none of the blogs or the YouTube channels explain the intricate details that go behind its making. I'll be jotting down each and every miniscule detail in it's preparation. For anyone who stumbles across this feed, and most importantly, for myself so that I never forget.
I'll be mentioning the steps involved in the preparation for 4 adults. The steps involve 2 components: First, is to prepare a curry like thing and second is the rice aspect. You eventually mix them together.
The recipe begins from the next post. It is divided into 12 steps, so make sure you reach till the part 5 of it.
See you in the subsequent posts.
Bon voyage!
