Sauce
I'm cooking pasta al ragù and it's going fairly well. It's not my first time, everybody is happy when I make it, everybody seems to love it. I'm not a great cook and not a stickler for detail. I'm currently stirring the sauce in the pan and at the same time stirring the noodles in the pasta pot, I'm doing it with the same wooden spoon, naturally some of the sauce gets in the pasta water and makes it a little murky.
I realize this is a big no no. If people saw me doing it they'd remark I've been doing it wrong and ruining the recipe and this and that. But I'm lazy, and I don't want to have to clean more utensils than the bare minimum I absolutely need.
Also nobody is there while I'm doing this and nobody will ever know. Keep a secret please. The sauce comes out great, everybody enjoys it. Maybe a pinch too salty, too flavorful if it's possible. But still really good.
Some years from now a youtube hardcore rebel chef will use the same unorthodox single spoon loadout and call it a 'technique' and it will be the secret to the extra flavor.
