Real AR
What if augmented reality (AR) went beyond simply projecting (virtual, simplified) models of objects into our existing world? AR should be a true expansion of our sensory inputs, enhancing how we experience reality. Scientific instruments already achieve this by allowing us to perceive phenomena beyond our natural capabilities, opening countless doors in research and understanding.
With such AR, life would be perceived more complex and rich in diversity. We would ultimately find life more engaging. This alternative definition of AR highlights how impoverishing is the current vision of AR.
