no one cares about you
When reading a blog article by Alex West, I stumbled upon this paragraph:
"You may be the hero of your own movie, but in everyone else's you are nothing but an extra. You appear and flash on their screen for an instant, and then you're gone forever. No one cares about you. And that thought is liberating. It allows you to expose yourself and fail miserably without any fear."

This really stuck with me. I see it not as a cynical view but as a liberating truth. It's a reminder that our lives are our own to shape, without being hindered by the opinions of others. Every day is an opportunity to make bold choices and grow, independent of external validation.
This freedom allows you to experiment with life more fully. Try new hobbies, pitch bold ideas, create your own career path that's different to what everyone else is doing, or strike up conversations with strangers. If you fail, you'll find that there are few long-term repercussions in the eyes of others.
I am still giving too much emphasis on other peoples opinions, but its a journey.
I am getting better at not giving a fuck and it feels good.
