new year, new microblogging platform :^)

yeah yeah, the year's actually almost over and we're quickly approaching feral consumerism and mariah carey season, but i haven't posted on any of my other blogs since 2021 and have once again found a new one to play with, so technically i'm not wrong. big fan of this monospaced minimalism. at this point i'm just collecting digital spaces and claiming usernames but it's fun so i'll keep doin it! after all, it's free real estate.

i skipped out on the medium hype but went through exploratory phases of substack, ghost, bearblog, omg.lol, are.na... i stuck with buttondown for a bit but my life is just not interesting enough to be writing long-form unhinged essays anymore!! i'll probably post an update there again at some point, just to jumpscare my four loyal subscribers. these days i don't even know what i want from an online experience anymore, i think i'm just here out of habit. instagram and twitter fatigue has been settling in real hard over the past year. i miss newhive and tumblr and deviantart, but newhive is no more and i also wouldn't go back to the other two. most of all, i miss neopets.

last year i wrote about the freedom of being an identifiable nobody on the internet, but now i'm at the point of embracing full anonymity. yeeeeehaaw i hope i stay here for a while ~
