I Don't Need This
I don't need another platform for writing. I have a Medium page and a Substack newsletter and very little incentive to build an audience in yet another corner of the internet. I like the idea of a 300 word limit. But not enough for that to be why I use Nicheless.
... and yet here I am.
I am toying with the idea of using this as a space where I can push unfinished ideas out into the world - so that I can develop them in conversation with my readers. I struggle to think in public because I am reluctant to share thoughts that are still undercooked. But I know thoughts tend to improve with discussion.
I need a space where I can publish without fear of being judged.
But that is only one part of it. I need my readers to feel equally unconstrained. I need them to freely comment on my ideas without fear of themselves being judged. I want them to have the assurance that any comments they make will only be read by the writer.
This, for me, is a powerful framework within which to develop critical thought. And so, here I am.
Expect to read ideas soon after they occur to me. Expect them to cover issues - both within my niche and without. They are unlikely to be polished or fully thought through. More often than not they will frame questions to which I have no answers.
Please comment freely and frequently. Not only do I welcome it, your comments are the sole reason why I am writing. If this experiment works we will develop our thinking together.
