Modern life makes us hyperfixated on the destination. Get into a top college, get a job by 22, marry by 30 etc etc. Drilling into our heads that the destination is what it is, whereas if you take a step back, you'll realise that destination is largely irrelevant except for a specific reason, the destination helps us become the person we are destined to be. The destination's primary purpose is to orient ourselves to become the person in the pursuit of the destination. Sure, one can argue that destination is the end all be all however, destination is not static and keeps on changing. What will be your destination when you were 15, will be different when you are 30. What's important is essentially the journey, the journey of life - from the highs and low, from the heartbreaks to the success, the journey of life and what we become is the important. Let's take the example of driving, a driver who hates driving will mince his teeth and bite his tongue because he tolerates the driving in the pursuit of reaching the destination, but how will they stack against someone, who just likes driving. Sure, destination is important, without which we might be floating away like an anchor-less ship, but enjoy the journey, it is the journey towards the destination that moulds you to become the person who you are slated to become. So love the journey, you might be feeling that things may not be working for you or you might be feeling left behind, however you are right where you are supposed to be. You are precisely at the right place and the right time. Don't live in future or past, your life is happening in the present. Enjoy the journey!
