defining my niche
It will seem quite ironic - on a platform which is literally titled 'nichless blog', I am writing on a very specific niche - the trials and tribulations of a law firm associate.
When you think about the life corporate lawyers lead, you either imagine them cribbing about how their immense work pressure, or you think about their flashy lifestyle and vacation pictures in exotic locations. There's no in-between - and this is problematic as it paints an extremely skewed picture in the minds of youngsters who may wish to pursue a career in law.
What do I wish to achieve out of this blog series? To bring about more transparency into what it is like to live the life of a law firm associate. Not just one post where I try to summarise everything in 300 words. Rather a series of post which will take you on a journey alongside a young associate who's still figuring out his way. You'll get to see the highs and the lows, experience the hurdles he faces along the way, and read the words of wisdom of a not-so-wise associate.
