Day 001: Completely Finished

So many Day Ones lay in my wake.

So many starts that never finish.

Will this time be different?

Perhaps the biggest difference will be recognizing the difference between Completing + Finishing.

I can complete an era even if it looks unfinished from the outside.

Even if I don’t have the satisfaction of a neatly tied bow or public recognition.

If I’ve made the decision that something is complete, the decision stands.

Perhaps this reframing is a mind hack, and a cop out for returning to things from past seasons that I “should’ve” finished.

But I’m okay with that.

Because I’ve Completely Finished with the era of life, when I shame, guilt, and condemn myself for not achieving what I set out to.

I’m also Completely Finished with consuming knowledge without implementing it.

So, here’s to another Day 1.
