Cut it short.
Many times I have thoughts that is quite unnecessary? In the end of the day it doesn’t matter
When it comes to story telling
Details are king
Though some unimportant filler words
“I heard this story from another guy, he said”
“Then he said, when he was sitting on the chair, he was trembling”
I don’t think the story is about the guy who tells the story. At that point it doesn’t matter to the guy that has the story. Who is the main character is not important, but WHAT happens in the story are the emphasis that you may want to tell - use emphasis from tonality; filler words are for your story to be continuos.
Applies to “how to stay youthful”
Young people: compared to “boomers”
They do not focus on things that are in the “past”
Focus on the future
What happens in the past stays in the past
The youthful thing to do is to let it go; move on; love life
Happens to relationships too - there’s no point in dwelling into your exes
Because that’ll just means you’ll stay stagnant and old
So all unimportant details - SHAKE IT OFF
Same as this thought:
“I have this thought I really want to share previously. I didn’t have the perfect opportunity to tell it. I MUST hold on to it and SAY IT even if it’s an HOUR later.”
That is not the right way to do it - just let it go. Focus on the next interesting thing to say
Because one interesting story to tell is gone; don’t think you ONLY have one interesting story; you’ll have PLENTY
(Just like relationships)
Life is full of unexplored paths
If only you move forward and align your actions to your principle thought.
