Change in idealogy
Remember the childhood tale about an emperor wearing invisible clothes but, in truth, was naked? His Council of Ministers and the kingdom did not tell him because they feared his wrath. But, it was a child who laughed and said, "the Emperor has no clothes."
Now place yourself in the shoes of the Emperor's Prime Minister. You are supposed to guide the emperor, but you misled him. To save face, you run a campaign to discredit the child. You're at it for a good few weeks, but damn, that kid is resilient. So, you decide to give in and finally break the news to the emperor that he indeed was naked. But, the problem lies in how would you do that?
Can you be honest and flip 180° from your original stance even though you've been with the lie for far too long?
Is it courageous to be bold enough to flip your entire life's idealogy even if it means you have to go against your natural environment where your original construct is the norm?
Yes, it is courageous and enlightening. It's always better to open up your eyes and decide what's your view. It might be the 'wrong-est' view ever, but at least it will be your own and not imposed upon you.
It's okay to be wrong, but the correct thing to do is when you have the realization, be brave enough to admit it and right the wrong. Circumstances might be different for everyone, and this brave move might lead to a negative result, but do not underestimate it as you will rise better than ever before.
