I only ever have 5 or 10 minutes
When it turns into longer
It’s a damn miracle
This
Project
Has been going on for years
And in warps
10 years is conservative
It’s been 30 years
Depends
On what part
In 10 years I will have lived in New York
As long as I did in Houston
The Project forks off in so many directions I worry I’ll never finish
Lately I’ve been making a time line
Of the Project
Stops starts streams
The creek
The creek that got so polluted it became the most polluted creek in the country
And still somehow so beautiful
That’s what happens
The Project gets new life from
Floods
Polluted creeks
4am jaunts on the internet
That led to

Whatever this is now
