This Great Idea
People bother me all of the time with a great idea.
"You'll love it, and I really think you can something with it," they say. I can tell they are excited. They're ready to tell anyone who will listen.
They tell me about their great idea, as though I don't have a stack of ideas at home that I've been ignoring.
Stuff I gotta write.
Loose ends that always need tying together.
Businesses to grow.
People to meet.
Trips to plan.
Each idea is buried under the next one, and then one after that.
I try to keep them sorted. I try to give them all attention.
Maybe, though, I should just clear the decks and start over.
There is this idea of "email bankruptcy" for when your inbox gets out of control. Select all and delete. If something is really important, it will come back to you.
If an idea is really good, it'll come back. Maybe it will be better. Maybe I'll want to work on it by then.
