Subscribe to yourself to receive your messages in your inbox
Hello, self!
You're receiving this email because uhm, you subscribed to yourself.
I think Louis is onto something here, and I hope it catches on.
I just find that welcome message a tad funny.
"Subscribe to yourself to receive your messages!"
At least I know someone will read it later.
Writing anonymously does give some sort of freedom, does it?
Right now, I don't care how this turns out.
For years I've written for clients and editors, dreading the stream of pings from Google Doc comments upon waking up.
"This sounds too technical, dumb it down a bit".
"I don't think you should write that".
"You missed a letter here".
"I don't think that's accurate".
"Remove this entire paragraph".
"I understand what you mean here, but it's too wordy".
That list of comments in Google Docs starts looking like a to-do list that I go through in the morning.
And each one actually comes with a check-mark that I can't resolve even after addressing it because the client/editor needs to know what I did.
So it's like clearing a to-do list but without that sweet-feeling of success that comes from clearing them one-by-one.
Great!
Thank god im not ocd
If I'm lucky, it will all go away as soon as the other party sees it.
However, sometimes, what I get is a comment within a comment instead.
Like Leo dicaprio in that movie that for some reason the title I cant remember.
And if it becomes a comment within a comment within a comment, thats when I know im really fucked.
Ayt, thats it for my first post.
Gotta go back to writing for other people.
If you like my writing, pls like and subscribe.
nah im just messing with you
