Short Lived
I created my own social media platform that focuses on the Ephemeral nature of thought. Everything you posts eventually expires.
In making it I was forced to think about the importance of databases and content libraries. How often do you read through posts from the past? Do you normally just read about what's happening today? From my personal experience, new content always prevails over old, stake content. I don't go on Twitter to see what happened last week. I want to know what people are talking about right now.
In Short Lived, the focus is on the now. If an idea is good, it lives in all its glory for a few hours and then it is gone. This is how life works and I believe it's how our content consumption should work. Ideas should be developed, perfected, and then forgotten. A focus on this rapid cycle of iteration and expiration will encourage more brainstorming and better outcomes.
