Rest in Pieces
You are a portrait of everyone you've ever loved.
An incomplete puzzle, collecting pieces along the way. You are a window of stained glass carefully being put together piece by lonely piece. A whimsical collage collected from the pages of people's lives. You are tapestry woven with the threads of a million moments.
Sometimes a stroke of paint is the wrong colour. Sometimes a puzzle piece doesn't quite fit. Sometimes glass falls and shatters.
Sometimes paper rips, causing a few cuts along the way.
Sometimes thread snaps.
Some things can't be undone.
And so sometimes we're outgrown.
Sometimes we don't fit in.
Sometimes we're broken.
Torn.
Frayed.
But we are not defined by the sum of our flawed pieces. In the grand scheme of things, we are art.
Art has never been perfect.
