NAME
"What's your name?"
One encounters this question in an ever declining frequency.
As you add years, the frequency of the question reduces.
Recollect the moment you answered with pride with your chest bloated
Pronouncing your name.
As one ages, one takes increasing offense if asked "What's your name?"
So courtesy comes to play.
The same question is better phrased as "May i know your good name?"
Why the change?
Simply, because one expects to be known.
"You don't know me?"
That's your fault.
Ask humbly.
This is less about my name, or me.
It is about I.
I am so and so.
Now just take a chance by questioning:
Who would you be without a name?
Confused. Right?
It will take a while to reconcile that you would still be you, but without your current identity.
As we progress through life, this name ceases to be enough.
Why?
As an adult we are more concerned with the suffix of our names.
Our qualifications, achievements, wealth level, and so on.
This attitude needs amendment.
The most beautiful sound one is attracted to is one's name.
Forget the suffix.
Just long for that sound.
Be worthy of being directly called by your name.
