Me and My Bullshit
I took down my website. It was bullshit. Just like the many bullshit ideas that cross my mind, and all the other bullshit projects that I embark on.
I started that site as another "creative outlet". A place where I could improve my writing.
The latter, AKA "the goal", remains genuine. The former, AKA "the idea", AKA "the lie", was plain bullshit.
I purchased the domain name, paid for server fees for an entire year and published a whopping total of, wait for it; two posts.
I'm not here to make excuses. In fact, I'm here to call myself out, provide reason (as if anyone cares), and take accountability for what clearly was, utter bullshit.
You know, I'm fairly certain that I have Shiny Object Syndrome. I'm easily attracted, or more appropriately, "distracted" by fresh opportunities. I romanticize with ideas too much and fall in love with all these creative propositions in my head. When you are highly motivated and have the means to bring new (yet unsustainable) ideas to life, baby bullshit projects are born.
So here I am, possibly falling prey to another fruitless endeavor.
But when will I ever learn? Well, I'm here to find out.
Apparently, this site will allow me to publish 300-word microblogs for zero money, no server maintenance, no website upkeep, less performative writing, more random unpolished thoughts. Plus, the likes, comments and subscriber counts are all private. Plainly, just "a space to write, for thinking's sake".
