How to keep a room tidy
My room is not so tidy. I don’t have a place for the shoes, there are some sheets of paper on the floor, but it’s okay.
I look at it and I’m scared. It looks temporary. Now it’s tidy, tomorrow will be a mess. And the more I try to keep it tidy, the more my fear grows. Just like for my mind, I’m afraid of the following day. Will I manage to keep everything alright? I hope so.
The future is scary, of course. But thinking about it so much is taking us away from the present. We live in the present, the room is tidy now and we must appreciate our hard work. Who cares if tomorrow it’ll be messy? It means we lived in the moment, we wanted to do it and we were happy.
If you have a favourite shirt, you probably will wear it as much as you can, despite getting it dirty or smelly. You’ll wash it.
My room won’t be tidy tomorrow — and I’m okay with it.
