(Essay 1/30) Hello World. Let's write.
I'm here to kickstart my digital writing habit.
Here's my grand idea: write 30 atomic essays in 30 days.
(Of course, the idea is stolen from @dickiebush)
But it is not about the idea.
It is about building a system.
A system is a collection of parts that work together to produce an output when fed with an input.
This is exactly what 30 atomic essays in 30 days could help me build: An online writing system.
Writing 300 words of non-garbage requires - habitual reading and running a loop of concept analysis & synthesis.
This how my 30 days writing system will look like:
1.) Input sourcing -
Tweets from creators, writers, VC and tech futurists | Books from personal library. Probably use @savetonotion to curate threads. Have to explore this further.
2.) Process -
- Topic selection from curated threads & concepts.
- Analyze the concepts, borrow from my own experience and synthesize essay worthy ideas.
- Visually storyboard the big ideas. Build a storyline.
3.) Output -
- I will avoid preparing a rough cut. It leads me into a rabbit hole of perfectionism.
- Instead, I'll write a 'ready to ship' version in niche-less editor itself.
Here are some of the folks, I will follow for inspiration-

I will use Notion to back up my writings.
What's next ?
Tomorrow I plan to write about 'Mindful Repetition'.
Here's my micro thesis -
Mindful repetition is omnipresent.
It exists in respiration, in everyday science and in waves & patterns at both astronomical & quantum levels.
If we can master mindful repetition, then we can build conscious habits.
With conscious habits, we can build working life systems.
With working life systems, we master our crafts.
As these are evolving thoughts, I might write them as an ongoing thread.
And, that's a wrap for today.
