For it is in giving, that we receive.

People find their own ways on how they want to give back to society and people in their lives.

Giving back to society is about making a positive impact, and there is always something out there for everyone.

My mother was not from a very wealthy background, so she would say there will never be a perfect time to give back as we are not living in a perfect world. There is never a minimum requirement of age, status or money to do it. People always tend to believe that you can give back once you start earning a certain amount of salary or build a lifestyle. But, there is never an established way to giving.

So coming back to how my mom see this entire nature of giving, she feels that because she never had money, so she couldn’t help people around her either with cash or any materialistic needs. So she felt that the only thing she had in her was good behaviour. She believes in being kind to people around and working for her, as that’s the best thing she feels she can do. People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” and that's the legacy you leave behind.

She feels act of kindness can make world a happier place for everyone and it encourages them to repeat what they have experienced themselves.
If someone asks me today what I have learnt from her that would be being kind to people around as for it is in giving, that we receive and that in being kind helps me be sane and content.
