figuring it all out - one step at a time
"Figuring it out". This has been my go-to mindset for the last 3years.
I am someone who thought going to college was useless, to now regretting not experiencing the college life. Now I feel I could have explored a lot.
I am someone who started my Chartered Accountacy Course, because my parents told me to, even though my gut feeling told me it ain't for me.
I am someone who also decided to take a risk by exploring my interests for an year, all the while not letting my parents know what I was actually doing. I surely must have pissed them off a lot.
I am also someone who wanted to make money early in life, so that I could feel like an adult and have my own freedom to do the things I want to do in life. So I learned how to code and design and got a job without even having a college degree.
Fast forward two years into my job, reality hit me. I realised that I live in India. In a country like India, you NEED a degree to SURVIVE.
I didn't have one. It made me feel LESSER. A bit underconfident and to be honest, a lil anxious. What if I lose my job and I wont be able to find a job elsewhere? It kept eating my happiness, it affected my relationship and my work life. It lead to limiting myself to exploring things. I needed to fix that. I applied for an online degree. It sounded logical. Within 3yrs I am gonna have a degree.
So does that mean, If I lose my current job, I wont be able to find another one ? Will I be unemployed ? I have no clue. Still figuring it out!
