Diary of a Crazy Cat Man
Crazy thought -- I know -- but what if much of what ails this world could be fixed simply by finding the right place for people to fit?
Now, I know I'm CrAaAzY but maybe -- just maybe -- that's because sanity is defined by the contrast of perspective; what is sane to you is insane to me, and so forth.
"Well, WE are sane, so YOU are wrong," you might say.
Fair enough -- judgement by Democracy, then -- the masses have the right to define right and wrong because they outnumber the outliers.
That's just... whatsit... common sense? Another thing everyone has been exasperated to find I've lacked my entire life.
Fine. Fine!
...still here?
k, we can continue, then.
It's like this: if you do not first WANT to see the world to be better, you will not even TRY to see it better, which means you are unable to MAKE the world better.
"Better for who?" you ask -- you who are still here, somehow. "Yourself?"
A fair question -- one to which I might respond:
"Ourself."
A rather narrow audience, perhaps, but an audience nonetheless.
Now to discussions of lesser<goods and who will flip the burgers, I imagine. We've been there.
Here we go again, I suppose...
Done? Neat.
My point is this:
If one wishes to make the world better for others, one must first acknowledge that things CAN be better for others -- that there are flaws to the current modes of existence.
"What an audacious thing to say from such a place of privilege!" you might cry.
To that, I might nod in agreement -- you are correct.
My bad.
Doesn't mean I'm happy.
"Happy!? Happiness is an illusion."
Perhaps. I won't even debate that one.
But, I will argue this:
Maybe you/I/we would be happier if you/I/we weren't stuck in place.
