Video Concept: Chal Kithan X Corp Life
Chal Kithan is a song by Ali Sethi. It has a very sad soulful tune and beautifully captures emotions.
CONTEXT: The song's lyrics speak about someone asking - where did you spend the night?/ I keep reasoning with myself/ Where did you spend the night?
IDEA: Employee - coming back home extremely tired and exhausted, but still having to stay up at night to complete some work
DIRECTION:
It is quite late in the night, an employee exits his office and reaches the station to catch a train. But it is so late that the all trains have left. He has to take a taxi/ auto to reach his home which is far away.
[This can be shown by an establishing shot of him reaching the empty station in a rush - his back in foreground/ the train sign boards saying all trains have left/ then another establishing shot - he gets into a car/ the car is dark and only his tired face can be seen/ as the car moves forward, the lights and shadows fall on his face/ He looks sleepy, but still he is determined not to fall asleep - as he needs to get back home and work]
He reaches home, it is dimly lit/ his desk - one single study lamp illuminating the table/ he opens his laptop and starts working/ his food is beside his laptop - eaten bits of it/ his boss calls and he nervously takes down few notes/he is busy working/ he sees a text from his mother - asking - has he had dinner/ he lies saying that he has/again boss calls - tells him he needs it urgently/ nervously, he agrees/ he's working working/ he is so exhausted, he falls asleep/ the camera pans to the plate of food lying cold at his desk/ everything fades into black
