Why are we unhappy with our work?
Why are we so unhappy with our work?
And if we are unhappy? Why are we doing it?
Who is making us do it? Is it the govt? The society? Your family? The ‘top 150’ people who run the world? Why are they called ‘top 150’ anyway?
Is happiness even a correct measure of us working? Or should we just be satisfied?
Is it because there is an uneven distribution of resources and we just want a bigger share?
Is it because we have overpopulated the world disproportionately to the resources that we produce so we need a divide among ourselves for who gets the most and who gets the least? And we want to be in the ‘upper’ portion of that divide?
Has it always been like this? Even when kings ruled the world, was this divide there? Did we not have an abundance of resources to feed everyone so we didn’t have to create a divide?
Or is it because we want to use more machines to make our lives easier? And to get better services to make our lives simpler?
And with every new product/service that enters the market, does the divide just widen itself? Does using that new product/service then make us happier?
If not, Is it wise to innovate and create new things if it is just going to increase the divide in the world? Or should we just stick to making existing things better so there is enough for everyone?
If maybe there’s enough of it in the world, no one would have to work just for the sake of having more resources at their disposal? Will we all be happier then?
