20th September - Mom Newspaper article

Moms article came in the paper today. We had such a nice and sweet time with all of us in Ammamma’s room as atta read out the article to us.

The dogs were there, everyone was so happy, it was just really sweet.

We were actually woken up by a phone call from moms friend congratulating her. I realised it’s a big deal and we should appreciate her more, so I decided that I wanted to get the newspaper clipping framed. I feel happy that I thought of this.

I ventured out to get a newspaper, only to realise I don’t actually know where one buys newspapers. I just told the auto uncle to stop at a shop where I could get one. Unfortunately he stopped near many shops and I didn’t know which one to walk into to get the paper. Oops!!! I now know that the answer is pan shop.

I went with Venky to Archie’s to pick up a frame and gift it. He thought it was really sweet.

While I don’t know if mom felt special that I did it for her, I’m glad that I have commemorated and documented this and placed it in a visible place so that people who come home will see it and talk about it and she can feel special then.
