1 My First Nicheless Post

My first Nicheless post. You know ... experimenting.
One thing that I do not quite yet get is the word count of 300. The site very clearly reads;
No fluff.
Just 300 words.
Each post has one (optional) image.
Followed by a maximum of 300 words.
Long enough as to allow for nuance.
Short enough as to not bore your readers.
And as I type - I can see very clearly that the WORDS I am writing are being checked off. The word 'this' was the 86th word in this post (at time of writing).
I think I am with Pete Moore ... if I want to blog - I want to decide the length of it. And why 300 words? At least the original twitter limit related to SMS character counts at the time.
And observation number 2 .... why all the pop ups on the site when you get here. (To be fair - I don’t see the pops up because my browser), but two people in five minutes pinged me their experience within 5 minutes of sharing the link to Nicheless Blog.
What's up with that?
And talking about 'what's up with that' ....
